Hope that car is on axle stand as well ?? If not very very stupid of you to get under a car on just a jack , ive seen the results of a person after the car has slipped off a jack before .

Phil there is a big plank of wood under the jack but thanks for worrying about me
Yep the clutch cable let go 3 miles from the show so i had to drive it there without! Managed to get a new one from a trader and so had it all sorted before the morning was out

Fair do's then mate if it was safe, i do get worried about people working under cars on just a jack .

When i was putting my car back together a few months back the car slipped off the jack and went straight through the floor , luckily i wasnt under it at the time

Westy deffo not a bufty mate but am not afried to throw a bucket of water in its direction every now and again
As regards the jack imo it was safe enough for the job i was doing and the length of time it was going to take and a lot safer than getting bored to death by another AA man
Gaz if a jack slips and goes through your floor that is user error and not the jack pal!

I know what you are all saying but at least he still had the wheels on the car so it would not fall to the ground maybe just make you a little thinner

Its not oily underneath Lee but there is bound to be some muck under there that wouldn't look too good covering my beer belly at 11am in the morning
