Default How soon does seller receive money if you pay using paypal?

after losing my phone last night ive bought a new phone on ebay.i NEED this phone to be with me by next saturday latest because im goin to work in norway for 6 weeks.so if i pay tonight using paypal how soon does the seller receive the money so that they can post the goods?

does it transfer immediately out of my bank because i have a direct debit set up? or is it held by paypal for a couple of days like paying by switch etc?

If all else fails send cash Monday Special delivery..its insured and he'll have it the following day, you'll have a signature...job done!

If he does the same you'll have it by Wednesday.....calm down to a panic

Chop, the quickest way is to pay THROUGH PayPal, but using a credit card - funds are sent instantly then. Are you paying by PayPal, but then that money comes from your account via a direct debit? - if so, that wouldn't be instant as PayPal have to first get the money from your account.

Instant Bank Transfers/eCheques sent from your bank to your PayPal account usually take seven to nine working days to process.

andy
gonna try sort it out with paypal first

bill
yeah the payment is coming off by direct debit by the looks of it!
i just looked into paypal and it says i can verify my acct by adding a card.so can i add my debit visa card which is for the same bank account and it'll go instantly instead of this clearing nonsense? or do i need to add my visa credit card and that'll sort it out

cheers

To verify the card though, you need to wait until you get your statement through with a code against the payment (Ł1) which is then refunded, when you enter the code back into your PP account...... Can't remember 100% if this affects payment times though , think it's just your verified or unverified status, I *think* the payment will still go instantly via CC, as you can send payment requests to people who don't have a PP account, but they can pay your request via CC so should be ok.

IF that all makes sense .

EDITED: Just checked, payment via CC should go straight away
