Ive got an akropovic with it on m8 on my gsxr and havent had a copper say anything......yet.

if they are clued up on bikes they know to look for that but the majority arent

You could try taking it off with a dremel or something?

Or you can get a British Standard plaque thingy to stick over the top
(all standard exhaust have a bs number on them)
Look in mcn for these

ima
sure you can get points?!

i reckon most will let you off which is similar with dark visors and small plates etc. they might only do you if you've been particularly bad which is always an option on a bike

I got stopped at Helmsely along with about eight mates last year, all got our end-cans and tax checked - we were all road-legal, but the bunch just leaving ahead of us had been issued with fines, and another two of my mates have been fined in Helmsley on another occasion - both for having race cans on.

PS - it WILL be traffic officers, so they'll know what they're looking for.

Grinding the mark off would probably get you in more bother than it's worth IMO.

ANOTHER FACTUALLY INCORRECT STATEMENT BY PHIL

If caught with a can thats clearly marked not for road use you can expect a fine for it mate thats all and its the same for race visors and small plates .

Dont mind the odd fine but points for a race can would wind me up.

Most places you'll get away with it no problem, it's just North Yorkshire that are shit-hot on them in our area

(I'm in Billingham btw)
never been to Hemsley in the bike yet, was there last year in the car and it looked ace, loads and loads of bikes, just didnt have a lbike license at the time!! wil be there this summer tho
