Hope nothing major m8
But i would of thought dodgy starter motor or maybe a dodgy battery?
My dads corolla had a similar problem, turned over ok but wouldnt start, sometimes fast clicking sound, put a meter on it and wasnt chruning out enough voltage.
Replaced the battery and all was good after that.

I had an Astra SRi a few years ago that the fuel pump 'buzzed' when you turned the ignition on, but just turned over and over. Turned out to be a dodgy fuel pump relay. You can usually test them by giving it a whack with a blunt instument while someone turns it over.

pull a plug lead out and attach a spark plug to it and then hold the lead with some rubber handled pliers (just in case lol) and put the plug near the head or something (cylinder head not your head ) and get someone to turn it over and you should see a spark

i came home one night parked up and left the car til next day.
tried to start it just kept turning over no spark. checked a few things out with multimeter and everything checked out ok, only thing left was crank sensor so i changed it and it fired first time.
crank sensor located just below your bottom pulley.

I'd check the kinglead from the coil to the dizzy cap first pops, it might have worked loose.
If it's not that, it could be - A fooked ECU
The coil is fooked
The CPS (it may have a layer of shite on it so give it a clean )
Ignition Amplifier Fooked
Dizzy Cap and/or Rotor Arm Fooked
Phase Sensor Fooked
OR Your alarm/immobiliser might have gone tits up - Fooked
Good Luck
