How cool will this be

Maximillion Cooper--

Well i already know what next years route is, I can tell you the basics of it, Next year is going to start in London, we are going to drive 1000 miles across europe provisionally at the moment. London to Venice perhaps, And on from Venice to Istanbul.
Its provisional at the moment but we will fly everyone to Bejing and all the cars and all the people in this hideously expensive and enormous Russian aircraft areoplane and land in Bejing, then drive 1000 mile across to Asia, maybe go to Shanghi and take a boat across to Tokyo. Then having done 2000 mile of driving were going to fly everyone again to the States and do the Final 1000 mile drive through Vegas, and the Playboy Mansion in LA.
10 Days Overall.

It is alot to enter but the reality is,this year its costing us 35k a head to put on

Expect it to cost £50K to enter then Him and Julie have made a fair whack off this.

Nice idea, but I cant see it happening. Hes got to change the routes to include other continents or it will just die out.

I wouldn't spend 35k on it to be honest though

Its good but its not that good! I think the 12-18k that it really costs at the moment just doesn't make it exclusive enough any more and you get relative pikeys like me and Martin going! They probably wanna go WAY more upmarket and make it just for multi multi multi millionaires again....

Good luck to em! Its gonna have to be the right side of 20k for me to go though

I dont think it will be 35k to enter, he was saying what it has cost this year.

Entry was 10k, but it cost the organisers 35k a head to put the rally on.

Lee.............

C`mon lets be honest, youve DONE IT,ive witnessed it,do you REALLY think it justifys the price peeps pay???

From what i saw.

Paris hotel x2 nights????? Parkin/breifing in the room was all in with the hotel (fuckin lush though)

1st check point, No 1 got to go round the track????? Just abit of nibbley food, piss break etc ( but yet again fookin MINT place)

Madrid, thats got to be a "we`l scratch your back, etc etc) But QUALITY pic we got though (p.s can you send it me,still aint seen it)..

Marbella.. Ok,3rd day in,it was the only time i could REALLY see where all your and Martins cash went, that was a TOP night!!!!!!!!AWESOME venue,AWESOME night!!!

We wont say anything about the next few days

But yeh i bet Cannes was amazing, but if you were to price it up to do it independantley (not inc fuel) 10k is a VERY over the top price dont you think???

DONT get me wrong,if i had the cash, after seing what its like then yeh,but for someone to have to save there ass off to afford to experiance it, do you think its worth it???

Lololol, dont wanna sound like IMA,and be a kiljoy, cause its 1 of the GREATEST things ive ever done, but im sure you can see my point????

Of course. How much to enter, how much for drinks at the parties. how much for the DVD/t shirt/sticker sales.

But to be fair, I dont begrudge him it too much. Its quite a spectacle to see that many dream cars in 1 place at 1 time. If it goes up to £35K to enter. It will stop a lot of the "celebrities" who dont give a shit about cars entering.

Step foward Kim Mazelle

Will probably mean certain people will only do 1 event a year as well. So the others events Drivers,Cannonball etc will only attract the less wealthy owners whilst Gumball will mantain a high standard of cars.

It is NOT going to cost that to enter.......................that is how much the people organising it have to pay for each person in it this year.

Entry fee is 10k this year

Tiff

If you go to a job and quote it up at £3K to do. Are you going to ask the punter to give you a grand

G3K aint a charity

And i doubt that this years event cost £35K p/p Its 10 days in hotels. As said above, you dont get much for your entry.

lol found this on the official gumball forum

"hi ive been following the gumball rally for quite a few years now and really would like to do it BUT i do not have the funds to do so.
my questions are:

does anyone know how to get sponsored and where would i go etc..

also how much will it cost me / my sponsor aswell to do this event on average.

1 other thing is me and friend have a crazy idea of doing it in a old style mini as dont think thats been done before u recon its worth it ? or do it in the seat leon which is only a 1.9td but it shifts"

You would if the punter then paid you £500 everytime he told his mates how good a job you did.

Nope, and that's why they retain the rights to every movie made by participants during the event, etc... so they can sell them onto TV stations, make a movie, have a glitzy premiere in london and sell DVDs for a massive profit.

Running a project at a loss doesn't necessarily mean you are going to loose out in the end.

Its called living life. Its something I loved doing. It went wrong... shit happens, you deal with it. Can't live life by what ifs...

Fortunately no-one else was hurt and I am recovering fine.

The only thing I would have had trouble dealing with was if someone innocent was hurt as a result of our actions.

Even my mum wants me to do it again

Thanks Tiff Kev, not unfinished business, thats why Martin wants to do it.

I just think my mum knows me and therefore knows my main loves in life are mental fast cars, travelling to cool places, stupid parties and generally having it large.... The Gumball pretty much combines all of the above!

Nearly everone says that Kimble (fat merc guy) drove like a complete cunt the whole way. But hes so well off he just pays people off as he goes along. Hes organising Ultimate Rally in 06 and theres a $1m up per day for the first person home. People will have huge accidents on that as they try and chase the money. On a side note he smashed head on into another car in England during the 01 event

Kenworthy (1 CPU) is actually fairly handy with his GT2, but as Ive said before I dont agree with using the hardshoulder AT ALL.

It seems that over the years the driving standard has gone downhill. As more and more people try to show off how much balls they have rather than going for the adventure aspect of it. I dont know who the guy with the grey Murcialago is in the 03 DVD. But to me he has the right idea. Push it, but dont go dangerous.
