Are they the same? i would imagine so but just want to double check

Not sure, they may not be as the 4x4 uses offset gudgeon pins and so may require a smidgeon longer rods.

they may be the same and they may not be
you get heavy and light ones
they all must match in a engine thow

easy to tell the heavy frommthe light rods as the counter weight on top is bigger

The rods are the same.
They are picked in batches based upon weight.
These weights are then catagorised as follows:
L = light.
S = standard.
H = heavy.
The above letter is scribed into the big end cap.
Ensure all 4 are the same and you are fine.

they might be a bit lighter but surely they are stronger? (the heavy ones that is)

Seriously though what are the pro's and con's of each rod? Surely ford designed these all for a reason? were some made for different cars? Esc Cos? Sierra??
Any1 got any facts?
