Sapphire RS Cossies or Escort RS Cossies.....
Bit bored realy so just wanted to know which of them you prefer and why?
Me personally think that the Escort is one of the most gorgeous looking cars ever but the 2wd saffy is one of the ultimate driving cars of all time(tail happy)
So whats your opinions people..

neither, 3drs are where its at. Escorts are more competant but rwd and the headturning looks of the original and best (IMO) incarnation of the Cosworth.
Saffs never floated my boat even though I briefly had a '92 4x4.

I will have to NOT agree with you on that one
I would say there is quite a few other "Drivers" cars out there

Cam it's no use to compare cars from different eras, different kinds of motorsport and allthat. Skyline is very much contemporary car. Cossies are in fact 80's cars with Escos as kind of pinnacle of 80's technology that came too late. Still Ecos is most impressive as it's still very very quick car around corners. In couple of weeks I drive to a rally in which only carallowe are Scoobies.. and my Escos Will kick their asses

It's all the matter of right criteria. Would R32 GTR stand 50kms long special stage on rough tarmac? Would Cossie be any good on the circut as standard?
And remember that Skyline is proper road car and Escos only a homologation special, never developed to be a good road car.

Ehmm.. for what sport was needed the car with RB26DETT,HICAS and ATESSA? JTCC Skyline's did run any of that, right?

The problem is there aren't any LHD Skyline's so for me they are out of question
But coming back to the original question - Escort Cossie is unique car I really like. Top condition Escos is much higher on my wishlist then Ferraries and like.
EDIT: GT-R would be very high on my wishlist of LHD GT-R's were possible for sensible money. Still I do love rallying most so the ones on mywishlist are GrpA rallying homologation specials:
-Escos
-Mazda 323 GT-R
-Lancia Delta HF Integrale
-original Scoobie
-Evo (pre VII)
-Toyota Celica GT-Four
I already have got poor shape Cossie, now it's time to make it good condition and get the others

I loved my EsCos but like many other EsCos owners I wore my rose-coloured specs. They look the dogs bollox but are just a rebodied Saff. In 25 years time 3drs,esp RS500s, will be the prized Cosworths as they have a successful competition pedrigree and were the 1st of the breed. Esos's promised much but did next to nothing and for me a well sorted 3dr is the ultimate Cosworth rush.

I've owned an RS500 and at the moment own a big turbo Escort and a 4X4 Sapphire and the Escort is best all round.
But to be honest every single RS is special, I would just pick the Escort as my weapon of choice.

Yeah I can see where ya coming from lads, but would you agree that if you put a poll up of 16 - 23 yr olds the 3dr would be least apreciated, cause those age groups grew up with saffs and escorts, more of the older lads prefer the 3drs I think

I think it's RS500 mostly, right? And it's on national levels as there weren't any worlwide championship untill recently. On the same basis Fiat 126p and 125p are racing legends because they were only cars racing in Polish circut racing for something like 20 years...

i think your opinion is based on the fact you never see them about on the roads. before i started going to the local RS meets id never seen a 3dr close up and didnt see what the fuss is about. didnt even like the look of them tbh!
but the lads in the group soon showed me the error of my ways! after going out in a couple of lairy 3drs and comparing them to pussy 4x4 its clear which is best!
