Ive just found this thread and thought i would put any doubts out your heads lol
Date... 30-8-1998
Driver Nathan scaddan
Venue york dragway
Times
60ft = 1.795
1/8 = 7.5@ 87.02
1/4 = 11.994@ 110.89
As you can see the car was set up for acceleration, it only had about 320bhp, thats why the terminal speed isnt that high ! its all about setting the car up that gives good q/mile times.. not just power !!!
As you can see, all this rubbish about a drag car ..hehe
if the times were from a drag car.. it would have much better 60ft and 1/8 mile times...
For more details look at performance ford november 1998... full feature on the event.
And fast ford febuary 1999, car was cover car and had centre pages and big write up !

andy nicholls was running 115mph at the 1/8th on his high 10s runs on dot drag tyres with a 1.7s 60ft. i dont know any good 60ft times from york drag for fwd cars on road tyres as it has no grip there.

This car "may" have done a 11.9 sec 1/4 mile on the day,but it never ever repeated that time!!!Why is that???I'm going to stick my neck out and say its because the timing gear was faulty.Regards,Micky

yeah, but yours takes around 14 seconds to get there.. (not tims)
so TBH that just shows the car isnt set up very well for drags, IMO
but obviously has good power, as when it finnaly grips, it does flick the car up to speed.
this guy is talking about a car that takes way less time to get there AND doing a slower speed. lol
I dont find it unbelieveable that the car did the times it did...
but it would need to be set up very well For doing this kind of thing..

didnt this car go against a fake ferrari in max power or something and get a proper shit time, like 14's or something, surely an 11 second car (cough) would always be in the 12's and dip into the 11's every now again when it hooked up right. Also, the particular day in question (11 sec day) didnt a R5 turbo get some amazing times and the driver discounted them saying that the gear HAS to be wrong as he was a realistic chap and new what was and what wasnt achievable. Just my 2p and I reckon someones here pulling our legs for a reaction (shit, they got one).

if it had really done that time we would all be chuffed for the owner (not that I even think you were the owner). Just the fact someone is claiming something that is so out of the ball park and has no evidence of even getting within seconds of that time before or after this miracle pass. bored already......
