So as far as i understand and thats not much the E10 is 10% ethanol.
Ethanol is hydroscopic so will absorb moisture. Probably not a good idea to leave a tank full of it for extended periods of time, could promote rust in the tank?
its also eats rubber and seals or anything thats not ethanol resilliant. This could be a problem for some hoses in the fuel system or seals diaphragm etc in a fpr or carb internals.
I have an old corvette with a small block chevy and will use e10 but i will mix it with a bit of super now n then or go pure super unleaded as still E5 over the winter when hardly used.
If in any doubt with your classic Ford stick with E5 super unleaded as much as you can.

on my daily runner I noted I use more fuel and now and again it was pinking, last night filled up with higher octane decent fuel and pinking went but its a bloody expensive way to keep a daily runner happy, so looks like I will be changing it soon for something more happy on these lesser quality fuels

The worst thing you can do is not have it full. It is moisture in the air space that causes the problems, both corrosion and somewhere for the fuel to gain moisture from whether the fuel has any ethanol or not.

But the last thing you'd ever do with ethanol in the tank ( say E85 ), is leave it sitting for a long period half full or very low. Either full to the brim, or with normal petrol flushed through.

Although there is a whole load of hype around the E10, it's a minor change. The change to unleaded was far far bigger, and the world did not collapse

And has to be said...didn't really improve much from it either, just the same as this E10 is largely bullshit.
