Mot due in a couple of weeks picked up this smart forfour car very low milage back during lockdown 25k 2005 car. found out the tyres are still the original would i be wise to change these?
I can't tell on my small phone screen but unless they show signs of cracking or deterioration I'd use them.
If they're badly cracked I'd also swap them....
I am pretty sure that soon on MOT tests the tyres will be checked not just for wear but also age.
Which is another nonsense...and will fuck up many classic cars that do very low mileage....well, the ones that actually go to an MOT.
Many modern tyres are scrap from cracking of shite chinese rubber, often big brand names, at very young ages. Lots of older stuff is still in better condition today !
