I work for Fifth Gear.
One of our current projects is to attempt 200mph in a modified Esprit.
Has anyone out there achieved a genuine 200mph in a car that cost them under £50k, or knows someone that has?
If so we'd like to hear from you.

and..........if you do it, if its on national telly, the price of saffs will rise as the demand will increase as every 5th gear watching teenager will think they can all do 200mph in any old saff cossie

Will contact Ian Bayliss about this today.
Depends on when they would need the car.
The car will be finished this weekend except for the exhaust system. Its proving impossible to get this made quickly as the three compamies capable of doing it are all booked up.so Target date for completion is May 31st. I will be twisting these companies arms over the next week to try & speed it up.

ps. Dingle a midget with a fast car is better than an idiot eith a slow one.
