Default Underside restoration - info request

Morning all,

Has anybody had an underside restoration carried out in the last couple of years?
I'm curious as to whats involved and whats included and how long they can take.

I understand companys vary but peoples experiences tend to be a good indication.

Cheers.

Thats what I'm thinking about, do i do it myself off axle stands in the garage or have it done by a company and not have the headache of struggling a few inches off the floor.

I done one for a mate many years ago. Took me about 10 weeks to complete and that was with him doing all the running about to the powder coaters etc.

Search for 'Another rear end resto gold cup winner' and it may give you some ideas.
It can be done just be tidy and store parts away untill needed.

Also depends on car and condition usually doing a job like this opens a can of worms on anything.

In the process atm doing a M3 not a full underside but complete suspension with some rust issues to be resolved and its taken me a lot of time.

Good luck

Spend the money on a spit and sell it when you're done would be my advice - can lead to OCD with it being easier to get at though!
