Default Ford focus automatic having issues starting it

Engine system fault & Transmission malfunction comes up when trying to start but nothing happens can anyone help me please call just won’t turn over can last for 10 minutes 15 minutes

Can be a number of things but I did have one once that had a broken wire in a connector block on top of the gearbox - thick red wire.

Tried bashing the top of the dash in case its an instrument cluster fault?

Have the fault codes read from engine and transmission.
That will give you at least an indication where or what the problem is.

Probably be U codes lack of comms between modules.

Does need checking tho!
