Hi All,
My Saph has the completely standard tape deck and graphic equaliser fitted at the moment but I want to upgrade it to a regular head unit with a small sub/amp in the boot.
But I believe these cars have a built in amplifier, located under the dash somewhere ?
Is this a major job to disconnect or bypass ? And will need to do the same to the graphic equaliser also I assume ?
And a regular headunit, to be connected to all the normal speakers, is this a big job also ?
I'm getting a pro to do the work but just trying to anticipate any problems that may lie ahead. I assume I'll need a connector for the head unit to connect to the car also ?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

the amp is in the the passengers side footwell are behind and to the right of the abs ecu, its is black and wil lhave a big ford badge on it
the I would run new speaker cables anyway if your going to run an external amp in the boot
