Default 2017 mondeo powershift? What they like

Thinking about getting a 2017 2.0 d with their powershift gearbox? What are the gearboxes like? I've heard mixed reviews and want to hear more options

Thank you
Gareth

Just get one. The car is 2 years old so it should have a bit of warranty left on it if anything goes wrong. What reviews have you heard about them??

I know the earlier ones were troublesome especially in taxis. Fords replaced a lot under warranty.

Not sure what they're like these days.

I've got the 2.0 tdci powershift in a focus. It's alright to be fair, although I do miss a manual. I find the box is more suited to a petrol engine, it tends to keep the revs held fairly high when pressing on but in a diesel all the power is lower down in the rev range. It is more suited to longer journeys, I dont think it's that good round town with lots of roundabouts, junctions etc..

I will be replacing my family cmax for a new shape mondeo next year, I will go for the 2.0 EcoBoost, they of course are all autos so will be having a good drive of it first.

The only fault I've heard is clutch pack problems.

Thanks for the advice, might go drive one this weekend.

I love the new shape mondeo. I've driven a few and they are nice.

I was working on this a few months back. These are the 2ltr EcoBoost engine. It went well for a big hearse. Paddle shift too lol.
