Angry Mk4 XR3i van HELP

Hi there wondering if anyone can help ive just fitted a 90spec 3i loom to my Mk4 van and I am having a problem with the central locking. Is the drivers door loom different to the passenger door loom? The problem is when its all plugged in and you lock it that's fine but when you unlock it locks itself again. The only way you can unlock it is if you open both at the same time. If you unplug either door it works fine on the 1 door. If you have 1 door locked then plug in the other door it locks itself. Its as though its getting 2 command signals to close 1 from each door.
Thanks in advance.

From what i remember, yes the door looms are unique to the drivers and passengers doors as the drivers one includes the option for the electric mirror switch. Sounds like a bit of an odd problem, but nothing that a few hours and a haynes manual wiring diagram shouldn't be able to sort out

Thanks but electric mirror switch is on the dash board by the clocks. The looms are different the passenger 1 has no earth for the windows it picks it up from the drivers window switch. As for the locking its the same.

My bad, it's been about 15 years since i owned an xr3i, although i'm sure the looms were different for some reason. Perhaps i'm getting myself confused with my sierra or mk5 escort. Could be a dodgy or missing earth, try the ones in the footwells.
