Value for escort mk2 van
hello there
After several years of audi ownership I have seen a mk2 escort van on eBay that has caught my eye. I had one many years ago but never finished it enough to get it on the road. It's had an rs2000 running gear transplant and a full respray. I have yet to view it and the current owner doesn't know what works been done as it was all completed by the previous owner. Pictures show that the floors are good but I can't see much else. Its scruffy in places and won't take much to tidy up. Mostly detailing the interior and engine bay. I am going to view it to get a real idea of condition. As I have been out of the market for some time I don't know its real value. He's asking £8500 for it. Does this sound in the right area? I know as a van it's not as sought after, but this can be to its advantages as some one like me, who would prefer one will want it. Any pointers appreciated. I don't know if I can post a link on here but it's the only blue van on fleebay currently.
Cheers

I have been to view it and it has had a lot of of body work but it's not done to the best standard. No but welding and loads of filler. I know it is a 40 year old van but is he asking too much for a good daily driver. It is far from mint. I can do the work myself but just don't want to pay to much in the first instance. The value is a bit harder to define as its a van and these are much less available and sought after.

It's fairly easy then, either bid him what you think it's worth or walk away
