Default 2006 Focus ST2, speedo issues

hi all, as above there's an issue with my ST, the speedo is saying im doing 80 when its actually 30, whats the usual cause? is it a speed sensor? All the other instruments/gauges are fine

spoke too soon the gauges have all went loopy

It's probably the cluster at fault however if the battery is old and weak on it it can throw all sorts of weird electrical faults.

So probably be best sending it away too ECU testing or BBA reman

dead common on these cars cluster faults but do as Richie said first and check battery, once jump started mine and had no accelerator pedal until battery gained some charge

Battery was renewed recently it’s posted off to cluster repairs so fingers crossed
