Does anybody happen to know if anybody supplies a slightly longer timing belt (with an extra tooth or two) for a ZVH engine?
I have a slight problem whereby the timing belt is exceptionally tight even at its loosest setting. I'm sure I remember that once you were able to get a timing belt with more teeth.
Many thanks

This is a black-top zetec bottom end. I didn't drill and tap the holes for the tensioner myself, but it seems that because of the block, one of tensioner holes has to be in a location that makes it quite tight before you even tension it.
My previous bottom end (silver top) was fairly tight, but okay

Hello,
Here is a picture of my spare tensioner and the other one fitted on the engine.
Looking at it now, I don't think it is too tight, as you can twist it 90 degrees. But it would be better if there was a bit more adjustment. As you can see, it is about as loose at it can go.
