Default Focus st timing belt

Has anyone done one and also need cam seals done. Is there any special tools required and if so what are they? Thanks in advance

If you are doing the cam seals then AFAIK you need tools to lock the camshafts, but just changing the belt you don't need them. This is presuming we are talking about the 2.5 volvo engine?

Yeah mate it is a 2.5 pfl st on an 06 plate do you know if the tool is expensive so I can work out if it is gonna be worth just getting a garage to do it thanks for your reply

If I spotted the correct one on ebay they were around £160.

JUMPLEADS in St Annes might have them as its a Volvo engine and they are a specialist in Volvo.

Has your oil filter housing failed recently? I believe that is often the cause of leaking cam seals.

Seems ok may have at some point not long bought it will get it checked

i did mine using the standard marking tools....... you obviously have to keep the pulleys attached to the cams though.
the oil seals will slide all the way over the camshaft
