Default St 225 crank removal info..

Hi, I'll get right to it, I bought an 06 st225 with a knocking engine, it has been diagnosed as piston no2 you can pretty much wiggle it about. What's the best way to remove the crank on these engines? Is it engine out job or can it be done with the engine in and out through the bottom? I'm not that clued in with st's. So I need some help from you st boys out there👍

You will have serious fun trying to unbolt the flywheel with the engine still in the car, remove the engine be a lot easier.

I would look for a replacement engine, rebuilding one of theses will get expensive, also how has the piston issue been diagnosed ?
these engine have a habbit of knocking the bottom ends out not piston faults

Definitely easier to just take the entire lump out and put it on an engine stand.
And I agree with the above, it's just easier to buy another engine.
