2007 fiesta - very long brake travel, and a bit spongey..

i can drive it and it stops fine, but the pedal travel is very long.

I've bled it and it's exactly the same. To me, it feels like there is air in the ABS pump.

Does anyone know how I can power the ABS pump to make it work, while I bleed the brakes?

At a standstill with the engine running, pump the pedal a few times. Does it get better? If so warped discs may be knocking the pads back in the carrier.

You need a suitable diagnostic scanner to bleed the abs on these. Also some of them have dodgy abs modules giving the same issue.
