Wink Degresing bare metal before etch priming

ive been doing this for years and never had an issue s long as the surface is well clean and dry before acid etch primer, i actually read the primer instructions today as i was bored and it says degrease before applying, what product do you use to degrease the metal before applying then? something like thinners?

I would use either panel wipe or paint thinners, followed by epoxy primer.

Brake cleaner will leave a residue behind that paint will not stick to too well. Thinners or panel wipe will be best as said further up.
