Been looking at buying an S Max as the family bus so been checking specs on Ford Etis but the reg of the one I'm going to look at won't work. Think it was on a private plate when registered. So can you get a Vin number from a reg plate?

Check the mot history for the car online. That goes back 7 years I think. Fairly sure the car should go back to its original plate unless someone buys it.

However the Ford etis site quite often says details not found so maybe try another time.
