Hi guys I am on a bit of a journey with my S2 at the mo and want to remove it's MFI question is which way do I go? Had my heart on a P8 setup but after reading a few posts on here and asking around looks like it could be a mistake. Which way would you guys go and with what?

Depends on who you are going to get to map it. Use what they recommend.
Dave Walker at emerald can prob do you a loom and a base map and you can do some live mapping (I wouldn't) I would take the car to him or one of his approved fitters and get the. To map it.

I had my old Elise mapped at Emerald on a K6. Dave did not do the map personally but the guys took the time to ensure it was spot on and it drove beautifully. Thoroughly recommended and worth the trip to Emerald for the mapping. I had 195bhp out of a 1.8 K series on jenvey throttle bodies and cams. Not to shabby in a flyweight elise.

Dave is a great bloke, always had time to answer my questions...I prefer Rave Talker but he doesn't get out much now.

Well I think v4 stinger is a good ecu, I have learnt myself to work it as it's all in a good format and easy to read. It can do anything you will need, including anti lag. Launch control. The ecu will be mounted in the glove box. Will come with its own loom. Not much to it really once you have all other efi conversion components

I have got hold of a non injection loom today which i will be fitting to tidy the engine bay holding off on the inlet for a bit until I have 100% made my mind up if i use an efi one or aftermarket plus i have the RS 500 style Airtec cooler so need to sort the routing out as it has a reverse charge carrier at the mo

Depends what your looking for then really, if your after a bit off fun and nothing to serious then just stay mfi, as the ecu and wiring and all other stuff is gona cost ya, and if going to extent off aftermarket ecu you would only really see best gains using a gt style turbo. Means custom down pipe ect. You would save a lot off money sticking with mfi but would have a far better, reliable, quicker, motor using efi
