DJM would be my shout. We are just about to send one of our cars up there for a mid-engine build.

Oooh, need some info on that! And pics when done. I keep toying with building a Metro 6R4 running something like a Carrera 4 4wd system and engine.

DJM would be my choice but Dave has so much on that it would be months before he could take it on, I asked him about installing the BMW rear end in my Camaro a month ago and he said he could take it at the end of summer.

Do all of that but use an LS engine, popular conversion in the states.

Someone was telling me about these recently...makes sense and only the 911 drivetrain to source and not the engine which is the bit lots of people want when they have the IMS issues etc...

Good Call

Think my brother Ben has started a build thread on this. It's a Puma he is doing it to. That would be a cool project if you saw it through.

He is always busy, Ben paid the deposit back in November and the car is hopefully due to go to him beginning of April. Well worth the wait though.

Will look out for the build thread.

The sub frames are quite simple to set up for the front and rear, the difficulty is finding a decent body kit so that it doesn't look horrible at the end.

I think that if I start with a basic Metro shell and have someone like custom cages do a bespoke cage once I have got the basic subframes in it would be quite simple to then trim the shell. The rally cross body kits are ok if you have a decent body shop do the work on it to make it sit nicely.

Others have used Rover 100 subframes with Freelander diffs etc...but I dont like the sound of that.
