On what car? Any pics.

I suspect you can add some adjustable top mounts and put the shock to suit....have you reset the geometry?

Escort S2, I have got gaz at rear with adjustable bars, they are set the same at both sides and camber looks about the same, although near side has 5mm plus gap and offside is about 1mm or less. It's booked in for alignment but it's not gona solve the problem as camber looks ok and same as other side, measuring the bars comes in at same size also

Ye I'm sure they should be, just can't understand why they are not, still have original strut and chassis main leg. What coilovers you run? And what wheels? I was having issues today with mine as have 17 rs softlines offset e38. And alloys hit gaz shock, mocked it up today and I need 12mm spacers. Have raised it up higher so arches will not be an issue. There is 40mm between arch and tyre. Don't mind how it looks as it's purely performance I'm after

Well something sounds out based on that response and do not rely on eyesight. Use a proper gauge and check everything.

It's not just eyesight. If I set it so there is the same gap between coil over and chassis at each side my camber would be like positive 6 degrees

So, you need to find what is out. Or find someone to measure everything.

Have a worry my chassis is twisted or something. Can't see what else it could be. Bother wheels look same camber and measure the same between bars, and tight on one side and 5mm space on other, only other components involved is stub axle

Get it on a decent laser alignment like hunter, check it is all where it should be and rule out the basics, they may well find the offending area.

you can only check where the shocks are if you take the alignment from the centreline of the car
the shell could be out due to tolerances
