I have one number brand new sapphire headlight in a ford box. It was old stock from a Ford Dealer. This headlight is NOT for sale. The ford finis code is on the box. The ford sticker is missing off the headlight. How can I match the original ford box with the ford finis code with the headlight? How can I tell what model this headlight suits? I have looked for digits and numbers on the headlight but have no luck.
Any ideas?

 

Cosworth headlights have 618 at the top around the middle of the lense.

 

Can this figure of 618 been seen without taking off the front glass?

Yes,it's at the top middle and is clearly seen,carello is around the bottom iirc.
A guy was offering me a lense for Ł100 so I compared it to mine and his had no 618 on it,my headlights have the chassis number etched on them from new so they must come from new with carello 618.
The difference when buying is prob hundreds of pounds too and if you want as nice a car as you can you don't just fit anything on it because it came from a sierra.

 

You could still get the Glass for Sierra headlights from Ford dealers , have you tried? I was lucky when one of mine got broken to get a genuine new Ford item.

I have 2 secondhand headlights, Drivers side Carello 814 and Passenger side Carello 813 etched at the top in the centre of the glass. Are these for a different model?

 

Excuse me,I was wrong.
Just checked and it's not 618,it is indeed 813 and 814 for a cosworth.
I'm not as perverted as it first seemed!
