I have an oppliger close ratio, it is awesome. Not the quietest thing, but not too load, you get some chatter and a bit of the whine of a straight cut box, they have proven to be good for around 700bhp and massive torque.

The main benefit is how the turbo stays on song but even off boost you make quick progress. It is a much faster car than before. The quick shift is good too and very rifle bolt action like but it would be quite easy to wrong slot it. Mine is semi straight cut.

Oppliger now makes or is making a 6 speed version which would be good.

i bet that's a lot better to use on the roads jay , for some reason I have it in my head that the car will be an evo in the 1st few gears with a close ratio box then still retain the standard 5th gear so good on a cruise and top speed

I have 3.9 doffs, 16 inch wheels and close ratio, it tops out about 145/ 150 but it goes like a train in between, you are a long way off but if ever down this way come and try mine

So the rpm per 1000rpm is around 20mph so x by rev limit of 7.5k would be 150mph.
