Default Ecu moniters: wots the best?

i'm lookin to get one for my cossie.

i know of the usual

pectel, 'hard to get and no warnin systems' £350+
s.e.c.s, 'good but abit of a wait and no ing,inj adjustment' £250
collins, 'copie of pectel, so no warnins' £325-400

wot others are there?

i had the pectel monitor when my car was on a p8,, great thing

Pectel is cool, has data logging facility too - also there's two types (one that allows ign/fuel adjustment and one that doesn't) and I doubt you'll get either for £350. It tells you of errors etc and I believe CAN be linked to a warning lamp if required.

The Collins one may also need a Collins chip to be able to use the features of the professional version.

i got SECS in mine but i need to send it in for repair as the display flickers - altho i have had it for a few years now

only if you have the equipment, eg afr wideband, det cans and know wot you are doin, then its safe, but not best, if all you want is power, as will soon go bang.

just paid for a sec's moniter, also been offered a pectel one knob version for cheap, with added egt and data loggin, so mite have two soon.
