Default Is this worth a 500 mile trip

A mate wants me to go with him to get second hand self level shocks for his mondy est, it's a 500mile round trip i said he's bloody crazy and just put put ordinary shocks and springs on, seller wants 100 and seemingly are quite rusty, He saw photos of them i havent....wouldnt be me going that distance.

Maybe for 500 quid the journey would be worthwhile but for only 100, not a chance!

depends if you like driving its a day out road trip me and a mate did 700 mile round trip to pick up a body kit once had a right laugh

New set of shocks and heavy duty springs from euro's is what I used, was better than the self levellers, I had a 2.4 Audi engine complete with all my work tools and gear and the wheels hadn't even tucked under the arches

Think he's changed his mind as I had a stern word

Seller won't pay for any fuel just knocked 20 off the price, still a waste of time plus what happens if he did get them, put them on are they're duff..

They might look ok (quite rusty though he texed a photo) but maybe when on and weight on them they're buggered, best left alone unless it was local to us and a lot cheaper.

If he wants it, let him go. Some piece of shit stole my passengers door from my RS years ago when I striped it. I had no room in my garage for it so hid it. Didnt stop the turd from looking on my land and taking it. The trip to replace it took all day.
