A mate's offered me a remapped ecu from his 03 2.0tdci 6sp, mine's an 05 2.0tdci 6sp would i need his key, ignition, transponder too, is there anything else i'd need

Why not just re-map the one you have already?

 

Is the car a mondeo??

 

If it is a mondeo then im surprised it did work as one will be a euro 3 and the other a euro 4 (2004 was the changeover)

 

We are clearly all to55ers because we didn't reply soon enough

Yes it can be done, just swap his ecu for yours and be happy

If it doesn't work though then blame us for telling you it would

I looked, nothing on DVLAs site

 

They don't allow rude number plates, I think one slipped through the net once but got taken from the owner without consent iirc

Just like you couldn't have BA11 BAG as a plate
