F****ing Mk2 Focus RS owners!

The incident Andy was talking about included speeds the far side of 180mph before the fastest of the bikes surrendered. We got into traffic & he stormed past on his back wheel, was well impressed he could really ride. He flagged me down & I took him for a ride. We were 5 up at the time. He was on the way to a local bikers meet & my car became a bit of a local legend with bikers flashing etc. Even heard two guys talking about it at the Gym as I was training. I said to the doubter its true bud, I own it. He nearly fell off the running machine. They were the great days of the RS marque long since gone, nothing like that happens now. Im an old Twat I see but ive driven more fast cars at higher speeds than you youngsters over a 50 year period. Only 3 RS drivers in the 200mph club & it aint you youngsters.

Rod,you really are the best.
I can only hope and pray I can 1 day aspire to the dizzying heights of being in the highly exclusive rs 200 mph club, but if the day ever comes I will try to remember where I came from and keep my feet on the ground.
Or should I just live my life as I have been not really giving a fxxk how fast my car is as at the end of the day,it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things how fast it can go or how much I paid someone to make it go that fast.

There's that many MK2 focus RS's on the roads that i'm sure half the owners out there aren't even bothered about ford heritage and just own the car because it looks nice. You waving to them just looks like some geezer in a knackard taxi
If you own a sapphire or any other classic ford then you are obviously a hardcore sucker for punishment that i'm sure 95% of the owners appreciate other fords alike. It's just how the age of the car reflects on the generation of today.
If you wanted a new car as a sporty daily drive nowdays, your average jo wouldn't even think twice about going to buy a 27 year old sierra lol

Also the same thing used to happen when a mate used to own his STi type UK. NEar enough every other scoob owner on the road gave him a flash and a finger up off the steering wheel.
It almost became that common it became abit "gay"

I would never expect a wave from a mk2 frs driver.
There are loads of them and probably 75% are driven by people who were just in the market for a fast hatchback and bought a focus instead of a golf gti or something similar. Highly unlikely they know much about cars other than what they might have read in what car magazine and even less likey that they would even glance at a 25 odd year old sierra.

each to their own. I personally don't see any great appeal to chasing that specific figure of 200mph or indeed any other defined speed. it doesn't mean anything to me other than being a nice round number.
3 members? that's mainstream. the rod fan club is more exclusive than that!

I met rod as a lot of users on here have and he really is a genuinely nice bloke he's sorted out my aftermarket loom and wouldn't take a penny off me!
I have a mk2 rs and agree most of them don't follow the rs brand, I also got a sapph and also get ignored in that so maybe it's just me they don't like! Lol
