Default Acceptable battery drain?????????

How many volts should the car be using when switched off?????

i.e. if you disconnect the earth leads and put a multimeter in between the leads and the neg terminal my car has a difference of 0.24 volts...

(batt voltage minus the other reading!!)

is this too much???

You dont measure battery drain with a voltmeter!!!!!!

Connect in series an Ameter instead...

You should only se 80-200 mA

Even on new Mercedes and Jaguars I wouldnt expect to see more than 0.2 amps once all the computers have shut down. Between 0.01 - 0.2 amps is normal.
