hi, sorry if this is going to sound stupid but i really do not have a clue what to do.

my van is full top to bottom so i cannot climb in through the front to get to the lock mechanism. it has failed locked. the key won't turn the lock but the handle is still sprung loaded so it feels intact.

the only way i can see to get into it is either try to drill out the hinge externally or cut a hole through the door from the outside.

before i go and do something crazy has anybody any better ideas please?
