parking cars on trade plates
ok it states mist not keep a vehicle on a road when not in use except in
certain emergency situations
what are those emergency situations?
my mate told me he leaves one on road with plate in window occasionally, i need to leave a untaxed car in road do i risk it putting the plate on dash?

Yep, trade plates only cover the tax aspect.
Really depends how and where you're parking and for how long.
Outside your workshop or business for a short period, doubt there'd ever be a problem. If it'd out there for days or weeks...bound to be a problem. If it's nowhere near a motor trade business....bound to be a problem.
And then of course there is the other nonsense that if it's anywhere the RTA applies it will need insurance etc
