Default focus stretch fit belts

is there anyway to get them on without special tools?

I've managed before with a bar against the inner wing to push it over and then turn the engine over by hand, sometimes a 2 man operation without the tool. Shit idea really

1600 petrol I presume? Take the top alternator bolt and stud out. Swing the alternator down,put the belt on and then push the alternator back up. You'll need a bar to prise it across when you get it back into position.
