Default Refurb running gear and suspension

My 4i suspension etc Is looking a horrible rust colour. Would like to take it off, get it stripped and powder coated. I know the anti roll bars be easy to do but can the hubs be done as they have bearing in them and what would I do about the tca And steering rods as they have ball joints. Bushes can come out easily as they are poly. Thanks

Remove the bearings from the hubs. unless they have just been replaced - there better off being replaced anyways.
Balljoints on the tca's can be taped up during sandblasting. then the rubbers removed for powdercoating -new rubbers and spot of fresh grease on assembly.-or buy new ones.
Track rod ends are cheap & probs better replacing when your doing the refurb anyways.

Or if the parts mentioned are in good serviceable condition. take time to rub them down- wire brush on the grinder etc. then prime and paint.
Dont need to then worry about nasty grit blast getting places it shouldnt or heat/powdercoat doing the same. Well prepped and painted parts will stay good.

Thanks for your help mate

Sounds lot of work to powder coat. Think will try something like spray Hammerite smooth. Don't think be able to powder coat rear either as I want to keep standard bearing bushes in arms and don't fancy paying for them new ones from ggr when nothing wrong with my ones

If you have the time and patience you can smarten up the underside with the use of electric drill/wire wheels of different shapes, coarse emery paper to get the rust off and then a lot of careful masking, taking some parts off and moving other bits out of the way so you can spray with smooth hammerite. I even repainted my koni shocks and lowering springs.
I would love to have everything powder coated and renewed but you are talking about a major job and a lot of money.Unless you are into the serious showing scene how many times are people going to be looking underneath your car?
Have a go at it yourself and I am sure you will be pleased with the difference it can make.

Thanks mate for reply, I think the spay Hammerite would be more suited to me. I'm not that clued up on mechsnics, so would me a major job for me to remove bearings etc. I replaced all my poly bushes couple years ago and that took me long enough, espically to work out how to get roll bar and tca back into hub.
