Hi mate no there was another citrine yellow one about that had black wheels on it but was 2wd, I have a few photos of it on my laptop, I'll try and get them at some point, seem to remember us having a conversation about it on passion ford some years ago when the picture surfaced back then. The bloke who owned it came up to me at Rs Combe and was having a chat about it but said it got scrapped in the end :-( looks like mine may be the only one left in citrine yellow then unless I very much dought someone will paint another one, perhaps I should just get a blowover done on mine at some point to tidy it up

Lol thanks mate I may just leave it as is then, seriously thinking about doing the boot, roof and bonnet in satin black or something like that. I had seriously considered getting tiger stripes done in black, into dark grey and then into light grey

tbh if the car can be put away and your not homeless then hey whats the bother as many are in the same position and your right if you sell it in bits you will never see the money lol so my advice is just lock it up when it gets to the point of needing doing and save up or get a second job and use that cash to pay for a new paint job

Yeah it sits in the garage for weeks or months at a time and very rarely gets used as don't go to many shows etc. I try and get it out the garage once a month for my local Rsoc meet though just to stretch its legs. I know id be gutted if I knew it wasn't in the garage.

just store it away for a few years and forget about it, build up some money and then come back to it at a later stage when the kids are a little older and you have more disposable income

Colour looks great, I would get the bits together over time, then save up and have it repainted the same colour and maybe the engine bay too.

That looks cracking mate, no way would I want to spoil that. One of our managers had a Mondeo in that colour in the early to mid nineties, it was a colour you either loved or hated, I was one that loved it.

Takes me right back to the 90 s love that colour don't touch it is enjoy it just as it is proper oldskool back in the days when we weren't as precious about these cars way before everyone got greedy pushed up the prices and ruined the whole scene. Ahh those were the days!

Lol no believe it or not the last mot I had to get a work colleague to mot it as we weren't allowed to mot our own cars. It's got 64,000 genuine miles from new and never ever been welded, I've waxoyled it the last 9 years I've owned it. It just needs a load of bodywork doing like dents and bits of missing paint here and there. The paint job is really poor and one of the wings and one rear quarter have faded badly

I quite like it in yellow. Not that anyone's opinion on here really counts as its your car lol. However, if you are skint then put it away in your garage and leave it until you can afford to do whatever you want to it. Or break it and make loads of money and buy a sensible family car

Wow, low miles as well!

When you say poor paintwork, was it just a crap spray job or is it just a bit faded and or scratched and maybe a couple of days with a machine polisher could freshen it up?

I guess that makes sense that you can't mot your own car, I can't imagine folk ever wanting to fail their own vehicles...

Someone else on this thread said this was a ford colour? I didn't know that, did they put it on cars from factory? I only ever remember the colour from the car cruises I went to.

I love it in this colour I see some pics one of your mates put on Facebook the other day. A couple of the panels looked a bit faded but the car looked tidy still though could you not give it a respray in the yellow as it'd be a lot cheaper to do than chan ging the colour

i think ill prob do the black boot, roof and bonnet for now as gotta change the boot asap as the centre post of spoiler area on boot has rotted through, then ill prob just leave the body for a few more years untill i have the time, money and space to strip the car right down and restore it properly.at least that way i can keep using the car and enjoy it

Agree those wheels look lost on the car in black but that sounds a bit extreme Glenn!
