It goes over the mountings that slide in the chassis leg. I think it's in between the bumper and the rubber that is inside chassis leg. But I can't remember how it should be orientated. But there should be one on each mounting point, so perhaps you can check how the other one is on.

100% correct each on one side and mounted vertical from what I can remember and the two edges facing forward.
I think it only can fit that way.
