Default Need Help Changing A Focus Spring - Edinburgh

Hi, recently I bought a Ford Focus for a cheap enough price to make a profit on. However I didn't anticipate how hard it would be for a 16 year old to change the front spring on the road side haha.

So I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to lend me a hand/teach me.

I'm based in Edinburgh, have a basic toolkit (really basic), spring compressors and a trolley jack/axle stands.

I would pay anyone for their time and hopefully learn something along the way.

Please contact me (Oliver) on

Cheers!

Well if it's any help the rear is the easiest to do. I learned how to diy it myself from looking at pics on here and plenty of vid tutorials. It also helps if you have your own tools.

Cheers for the replies lads. The only reason I don't want to challenge it on my own is because I'm waiting til my birthday to splash out on decent tools. If worst comes to worst I will have to buy them and attempt it alone, but I just thought it easier to ask here

Hi mate it's been a while but sure on them and mondeos I've had to use 4 spring compressors before to compress the spring enough. Or if u can get use of one of those floor mounted spring compressors some garages have nowadays may be more handy.
