Whats the best free flowing panel filter on the market as I find k&n ones get blocked quite quick with stuff in the v grooves any better ?, dont want induction kits as its a NA car and they sound gay
Surely the quicker they get clogged, the better they are doing their job? If a certain type of filter stays cleaner longer, then surely it is passing the muck through it...

K&n and piper cross are the only panel filters I would use, and as said they clogg for a reason as there not letting too much past, do you use the oil cleaner?

I know what you mean guys as I swore by k&n for many years but on my focus it seams to clog up way too much and yes I know its doing its job but opening up the airbox every few weeks is a pain it arse big time to brush the grooves clear, induction kits on NA cars is nearly all about noise and looks plus im too old for that bollocks, so im leaning towards pipercross as they mention the problem I am having with k&ns in their advert so lets see what £35 brings
A standard clean paper element is the way to go on a fairly standard car.
That filter much better and have far more surface area.
I've never had any good results from a panel filter.

due to having a very free flowing exhaust I needed a decent fast flowing filter which is what made me go away from paper, but I will give the pipercross a go and see how its pans out in comparison to the k&n, as for the airline yeah of course but evey few weeks was getting tedious

Most modern cars flow very well, over and above what the engine needs, plus you get the added bonus of proper cold air feeds.
