Hi people

I have a 100mm top feed intercooler in my saff and there's a lot of space above it. A friend told me that some people turn the cone filter the other way which makes sense as there now the space and air flow there but has any seen an air filter designed to go in this gap

Seen it done before, especially on MK1&2 Escorts due to space... Didn't Ronnie Amis run it like that on his 3Door? Don't know what size cone you'd need though, without going and measuring it though....?

I was thinking or more of a square air filter with a backplate

I see last yr a black 3dr had a carbon fibre air duct made which was central and that went through one of those viper air filters into the turbo, looked well made and well placed together but those filters are crap

Yeah but not a cone filter. I'm sure I've seen one on a focus cosworth

Yeh the same as escorts there narrow but still have the clearance in front hence the design, ill try and get pics of the 3dr
