As title, can't believe it's been that long ago. Still remember seeing it in the TV at work. Yes, it was a big hit into the wall, but didn't think it would result in his death and the impact it would have on the world of F1.... :-(

anyone watched the film? really good, not even a big fan but have watched it a few times now and it is very humbling.

iirc it was the last death in F1 and it was a part of the car that hit him in the head causing the fatality and a few inches either way and he would have walked.

What got me was the win in brazil, he was in agony and had to be lifted from the car and was telling people not to touch his as he was so cramped up, thats passion.

Never forget Ratzenberger too. Rip

As for the cramping thing in Brazil, many drivers showed similar passion, remember Mansell fainting pushing car over the line at Dallas, or him getting third degree petrol burns from raw race fuel in the cockpit on his debut.

Senna was destined to become a greater man after his f1 career tho IMO, a bad loss for Brazil
