Default zetec help needed.

could really do with some help, I have a ford fiesta silver top zetec s 2000 reg. Last couple of days when driving the car just feels sluggish, just doesn't have the same livelyness thay it's had before. Mainly noticeable low down in the revs, the acceleration isn't at all jerky just feels a little sloppy and flat up to about 4k. I've changed the plugs, leads and coil pack with no joy. At a bit of a loss. It almost feels held back a bit. I've had all four wheels off the floor and they all spin freely as I did think it may be somthing binding the wheel but no. Not sure what else to try. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check the exhaust system. I had a mk4 fiesta that gradually got slower and slower and struggled to rev. It turned out the back box collapsed in on itself restricting the exhaust gases. I also had a mk6 escort gti that wouldn't rev past 4k, the cat internals had worked loose and rotated, blocking exhaust gases. Hope this points you in the right direction.
