Default MOT question (washer jets)

So 2 weeks before my MOT is due my passenger side washer jets have stopped working(will sort it out at later date) but the drivers side is working fine, and because there's 2 it still clears the passenger side aswell as soon as the wipers spread the water around abit.

Do you think it would pass on that since it's still working on the drivers side and clears the screen fine(and even the passenger side after a few squirts)

Thanks

Down to the tester to decide really, I would think pass and advise,

You could always take the screen out, then you don't need washers or wipers

If u have 2 jets in one washer then direct one to the passenger side of screen and the other to drivers side. I've had to do this on my Cossie untill I get hold of another one!!

Coming from being an mot tester myself, the routine is so quick once u done them for years u prob wouldn't have even noticed the guy doing it. Then again he may just not have been doing it lol!

The ones i go to test them, i know because i remember seeing smear marks where the wipers have been used in my previous cars.

Ive put a pin inside both holes aswell, i pushed it until it wouldnt go any further, no luck.

Will be fixing it properly but just havent got time between now and next week.

Thanks for the replies folks

When I used to have a company transit it went in for mot and service with no washers, came out with an mot and full service still with no washers, I didn't tell them about the fault as I'd heard problems with the garage, needless to say a complaint went in

What I do at work is pull the feed pipe off to the washer jets and run an airline blower through it. Never had one not clear doing that fair dos I had a washer "ball" fly out lol but in 18 years that's been the only one!
