Default Trickle charger while in garage

I went to take my Cosworth out for a spin as it was dry and sunny and battery was flat, again. Not moved it for several weeks so I guess it is to be expected.

Do you guys leave your cars on a trickle charge? I used to do this years ago with my old EmmFree. I don't have that charger anymore though. Any good trickle chargers that folk recommend?

Oh, by the way, I borrowed a booster from the garage opposite so I still got to go for a drive!

Mine lived on a cheap halfords one when it was running as I didn't use it as my everyday car never had any issues. My bike lives on an expensive trickle charger they both did the same job

Keeps the battery in good shape and can be left on all the time, can't fault mine!

I use the optimate4, not the cheapest but it also fixes batterys at the same time. works well in the winter months.

My Sierra is on a CTEK. The Volvo is on a cheapie from Lidl or Aldi. Apart from the reconditioning mode, it seems to do the job of trickle-chargingas required just fine.

My cheap halfords one only charges when the battery reaches a certain voltage so it maintains the battery. 15 quid Id never buy an expencive one again the one on my bike cost about 70 quid dose no different

I have 4 x Ł11 Aldi/Lidl trickle chargers, they do the same job as my Ł50 accumate one and i even prefer the Aldi ones as have a digital display on them.

The only thing you can't do with the Aldi ones is disconnect the crocodile xlips with a plug about 12 inch down the cable, but i only really see the benefit of that if you bolt an eyeletted piece to the terminals
