Default Roll Cage.

Evening all.

I'm going to buy a roll cage for my fiesta mk4. I've made do without for a few years but now the engine build is complete and it's got some power I think it's time I think safety.

Now, I'm almost cringing as I write this as I know you can't put a price on safety, but I'm looking at a good cage on a budget. What do people recommend?

Cheers
Matt.

Phone your insurers BEFORE doing anything. I struggled to get cover once my 6 point cage went in.

Ok thanks I'll give him a shout.

And as for insurance I'm with Adrian flux on a modified policy. I'll give them a call first though. Thanks!

Hi,
Hopefully we shouldn't have any issues with this.
Regards,
Dan.

I had my cage made by Custom Cages and it's awesome. A real work of art.

Having said that, it did take a lot longer than anticipated, which made no odds for me as I was in no rush and trying to get to speak with someone who knew what was going on was a challenge a times. Again, wasn't an issue for me at the time, but something to bear in mind.

Also, this was 5/6 years ago, so unless they've gone downhill since, but it was a good set up they had.

It'll be a trek for you but I had mine done by Lancaster Rally Services in Selby, worth the journey for the work done

Depends who fits it. Not an easy task. They dont always line up as well as you like but mines gone in a treat. Any pre bent cage will take some sort of jiggling to get it in.

Cant fault mine

I'm waiting on a response from a few places mentioned above. Any people know of some companies that do pre-built ones instead of custom made? I wouldn't mind fitting myself - so would help keep the costs down. Weld or bolt in would be fine...

Cheers.
