Default Anglia 100E

I thinking about getting a 100E and was wondering if there's any good sites or forums for stockers and non stockers. Parts are hard to come by here in the states, plus I would like to make it a daily driver (read more modern drive train). I want to keep it looking stockish (like most of my cars), but have the ease of newer parts. I was thinking of a full swap with engine, trans, brakes and suspension with a newer car (toyota, ford, mazda???) or I can find a german capri if the parts will fit.

Does anyone know if the capri parts from the late 70's will be close enough to work with, like struts/brakes and rear end......I've read about the 2.8 V6 swaps already.

Thanks for any leads.

Personally I'd say capri running gear won't fit, not without fabrication work. Ford 2.0 duratec on throttle bodies would be my engine of choice. I don't know how to pull the links up but try turbosport.co.uk, oldskoolford.co.uk, ford100e.org. Keep us posted if you decide to build a monster of a 100e

Person i work with has one. If i remember he has used a 105E english axle which is 43.5 inch while running a 2.0 zetec with a type 9 gb. It isnt a straight swap and needed the bulkhead cut but looks rather smart now its done.

Thumbs up

Wow! Fan-bloody-tastic

At first glance you'd be hard pushed to spot which is modified and which is standard. This makes it all the more impressive IMHO.
