With mine it wasn't pumping so the steering was really stiff I think wear it had stood the tiny vains and stuck in there housing once I'd taken it apart cleaned and oiled it it worked fine

Worth taking apart and having a look if I remeber right the cap on the end needs pushing in a little by doing it up in a vice with a socket pushing on it so you can then remove the retaining clip. Theres a fair bit too it so you have to watch the order thing come apart in

Take it back and hit him over the head with it lol I bet it's been stood its dried up in side and the vains are stuck. You could go electric like on his escort and little dans saff? Easy to do

There on a class pumps ignition feed live the pump regulates it's own pressure and the bottle is built into it then it feeds and returns too and from the rack via aero quip pipes with the mk -6 rack fittings
